2015 Volkswagen Golf Variant

2015 Volkswagen Golf Variant, volkswagen has released the new Golf Variant. it is based on Volkswagen’s modular-transversal MQB platform, which eventually will underpin models from the Polo up to the Passat and beyond. It means not only that the car will accommodate a host of VW’s latest assistance and telematics systems, but also that it will be significantly lighter by up to 232 pounds than the vehicle it replaces.

2015 volkswagen golf variant will be available with several four-cylinder TSI gasoline and TDI diesel engines, all, of course, being turbocharged. The entry-level engine is an 85-hp, 1.2-liter TSI, above which VW offers a 105-hp, 1.2 TSI; a 122-hp, 1.4 TSI; and a 140-hp, 1.4 TSI. The diesel lineup consists of a 105-hp, 1.6 TDI; the 110-hp, 1.6 TDI BlueMotion; and the top-of-the-line 150-hp, 2.0-liter TDI. An all-wheel drive system, dubbed 4Motion, is to be available, and there will be a version that can be powered with natural gas. The Golf Variant BlueMotion and its 110-hp engine and a manual transmission are said to achieve a remarkable 71 mpg combined, albeit on the European cycle. Dual-clutch automatic transmissions are optional on several versions.

also an engine stop-start system will be aboard every Golf Variant, as will the XDS function of the stability-control system, which brakes the inner front wheel during cornering to curb understeer.
