2015 Volkswagen Golf Variant
2015 Volkswagen Golf Variant, volkswagen has released the new Golf Variant. it is based on Volkswagen’s modular-transversal MQB platform, which eventually will underpin models from the Polo up to the Passat and beyond. It means not only that the car will accommodate a host of VW’s latest assistance and telematics systems, but also that it will be significantly lighter by up to 232 pounds than the vehicle it replaces.

The entry-level engine is an 85-hp, 1.2-liter TSI, above which VW offers a 105-hp, 1.2 TSI; a 122-hp, 1.4 TSI; and a 140-hp, 1.4 TSI. The diesel lineup consists of a 105-hp, 1.6 TDI; the 110-hp, 1.6 TDI BlueMotion; and the top-of-the-line 150-hp, 2.0-liter TDI. An all-wheel drive system, dubbed 4Motion, is to be available, and there will be a version that can be powered with natural gas. The Golf Variant BlueMotion and its 110-hp engine and a manual transmission are said to achieve a remarkable 71 mpg combined, albeit on the European cycle. Dual-clutch automatic transmissions are optional on several versions.

Mercedes opens new Delhi outlet
Mercedes-Benz inaugurates India’s largest luxury car showroom in south Delhi.
Mercedes-Benz inaugurated Indias largest luxury car showroom at south Delhis Mathura Road. Opened by T&T Motors, it is spread across 60,000 square feet.
The flagship store has been conceptualised to provide a fascinating Mercedes-Benz experience’ to customers. The facilities at the new store include a customer lounge — Café-Mercedes. Along with the full range of the Mercedes-Benz cars, the showroom will also exhibit the AMG range of cars. The store also has an exclusive facility dedicated to Mercedes-Benz’s pre-owned car business, Proven Exclusivity.
Eberhard Kern, managing director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said: “The inauguration of the Flagship Store personifies brand Mercedes. This flagship store is the largest luxury car showroom in India today, and underlines our passion and deep commitment in giving the ‘best or nothing’ experience to the customers.”
Mercedes-Benz India has so far invested over Rs 550 crore here through its dealer partners. The luxury carmaker inaugurated six new touchpoints in Tier II and Tier III cities in 2012.
Chrysler Recalls 243 000 Ram Pickup Trucks
The safety agency reported that the left tie rod ball may fracture during low speed parking maneuvers when the driver is making a sudden turn. This could lead to the loss of directional stability in the left front wheel.
The recall affects certain Ram 2500/3500 4x4 and Ram 3500 Cab Chassis 4x2 models manufactured from February 14, 2008 through March 28, 2011. It also affects the Ram 1500 Mega Cab 4x4 models manufactured from February 14, 2008 until August 15, 2008.
The company noted that it is also possible that a small number of 2003-2008MY Ram 2500/3500 heavy duty models may have received the faulty part as a replacement during regular servicing of the vehicles.
Chrysler dealers will inspect the tie rod ends and replace the outer left tie rod as required, as well as a front end toe alignment, all free of charge. Owners have not yet been notified, but they may contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 or the NHTSA Vehicle safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 for more information.
